MINT AND ITS EXTRACTS
Mint is a very common plant and there are many species of it.
The richest variety of essential oil is Peppermint.
The essential oil has refreshing properties and to be useful in states of muscle fatigue.
It is mainly composed of: water, fiber, many minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese, phosphorus, sodium), vitamins (of group A, B, C and D), and amino acids.
Mint has a refreshing, tonic, and purifying action.
Applied to the skin or mucous membranes, it generates a sensation of coolness causing an initial vasoconstriction followed subsequently by vasodilation.
