Clinical considerations and characteristics of the diet:
• Acidification of the urine.
Reduces the formation of struvite crystals and uroliths;
• Increased potassium content.
Avoid the risks of hypokalaemia;
• High digestibility.
Compensates for loss of appetite in some cases;
• These features, together with adequate control of urinary tract infections, help prevent the recurrence of struvite urolithiasis;
• Urine pH 6.0 target (0.2 standard deviation).
Ingredients: Corn, maize gluten meal, rice, dehydrated poultry proteins, wheat, animal fat (stabilized with mixed tocopherols), flavored liver offal, beet pulp, dried whole eggs, potassium chloride, fish oil, sulphate calcium, sodium chloride, choline chloride, L-Lysine, minerals.
Sources of protein: dehydrated chicken proteins, corn gluten meal, whole eggs, flavored liver offal.
Urine acidifying substances: calcium sulphate.
Cupric sulphate (Cu added: 9 mg / kg).
With antioxidants: CE additives.
