WHAT IS IT FOR

The ligatek knee brace was created with the aim of stabilizing the knee joint of dogs with joint incompetence, whether traumatic or acquired.
The adjustable joints allow control of the R.O.M. (RANGE OF MOTION), allowing, depending on the needs, to have either total blocking of the joint or a controlled movement of the degrees of flexion-extension, managing to adapt in a versatile way
to the dog's needs. Ligatek is adjustable both in width (thanks to the shortenable bands) and in length, thanks to the upper and lower padding that can be lengthened or shortened on the paw to ensure an excellent fit.

USE OF THE LIGATEK KNEE BRACE IN THE POST-OPERATIVE PERIOD:

Thanks to the Ligatek brace, the knee joint can be adjusted in flexion-extension or completely blocked to preserve the surgical intervention and allow correct healing, reducing stress and excessive load.
Ligatek is indicated as post-operative support in case of:

• Incompetence of the cranial-caudal cruciate ligaments (TPLO, TTA procedures);

• Procedures affecting the patella (sulcoplasty, transposition of the tibial crest, fracture);

• Extracapsular technique;

• Patellar ligament summary.

USE OF THE LIGATEK KNEE BRACE AS A CONSERVATIVE SUPPORT AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO SURGERY:

The Ligatek brace can be used as an alternative support to surgery surgery if the dog is not eligible for other options (for example due to age
or previous pathologies).
Thanks to the possibility of reducing movement while maintaining a R.O.M. adequate, Ligatek is indicated for the conservative treatment of:

• Injury and/or rupture of the cranial and caudal cruciate ligament;

• Traumatic or acquired incompetence of the ligaments collaterals;

• Trauma to the joint capsule;

• Patellar luxation.
